Officers responded to the collision around 1:15 p.m., near the bridge. According to reports, 35-year-old Andrew Lipscomb of Idaho, were operating a dump truck hauling a utility trailer.

While Lipscomb was heading north on O’Byrnes Ferry Road, he lost control while rounding a curve. As a result, he struck a Dodge Ram pickup driven by 39-year-old Martin of Copperopolis.

In addition, Lipscomb also struck another pickup truck driven by 52-year-old Carlson, of Fallon. Amidst the chaos, the dump truck veered off the road and into a nearby embankment. Emergency crews located the vehicle rolled over upon arrival.

Investigators later revealed that rainy weather played a factor in the collision. Although, they are unsure as to whether or not speed was a factor.
