Born in London in 1969, Keeping’s affinity for music ignited at an early age when he attended a concert by the legendary guitarist Andres Segovia. Andrew recalls, “My five-year-old self was captivated watching Segovia’s huge cigar stubsfor fingers delicately producing the most magical sounds on a wooden box with strings attached.” Keeping performed his first concert at the tender age of eight, only to discover the audience comprised of a group of elderly ladies with hearing impairments. He was, however, excited by the revelation that he performed better in front of an audience and basked in the experience. Beyond his prodigious musical talent lies a man of profound empathy and dedication to causes that extend far beyond the realm of musical notes.

As the Chief Executive at FASD Awareness, he stands as a beacon in the quest to prevent FASD and improve the lives of those affected. His initiatives span educational campaigns, collaborations, and the establishment of crucial support structures. Andrew’s involvement with FASD Awareness stemmed from his desire to make a difference. This organization was not just a charity; it was a heartfelt response to the growing need to raise awareness and support those affected by FASDs.

Andrew spearheaded various initiatives under FASD Awareness, employing innovative strategies to increase understanding and support for FASD. The #BeAware campaign, a series of educational films and case studies, became a pivotal tool in educating the public about the science behind FASD and the real-life experiences of individuals affected by it. By collaborating with the renowned filmmaker and former student Max Blustin, Andrew amplified the charity’s reach, drawing attention to a crucial yet often misunderstood issue.
