HUMBOLDT, CA (March 16, 2021) – Saturday night on February 27th, Marc Broussard was killed and Andrew Harmon was arrested after a deadly crash along Highway 36.

The incident took place on State Route 36 near mile marker 15.50. Per report, Harmon was driving a Dodge 3500 east when he veered into the westbound lanes and struck an oncoming 2006 BMW driven by Broussard, 61, of Blocksburg.

Broussard and his passenger, 51-year-old Kaylem Branson, were both admitted to St. Joseph Hospital with serious injury. However, due to the extent of injuries sustained, Broussard later died.

Harmon, according to the CHP, escaped the scene before police arrived. Authorities located him at Rio Dell and transported him to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. There, he was arrested for felony DUI, hit-and-run and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

Officers booked Andrew Harmon into the Humboldt County Jail. Although, an active investigation remains ongoing to determine further details.
