Pomona 60 Freeway Crash Left One Person Dead and 3 People Injured

POMONA, CA (August 4, 2021) Authorities identified Andrew Coronado as the deceased victim of a traffic crash on 60 Freeway last Saturday.

Officers responded to the incident around 3 A.M. at the eastbound 60 just east of Grand Avenue, CHP said.

Upon arrival, the responders learned that a 2019 Nissan Armada rear-ended a stalled Honda Accord on the Freeway.

As a result, a man inside the Accord, identified as 20-year-old Andrew Coronado died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver, 21-year-old man from La Puente, and another 20-year-old from Los Angeles sustained moderate to major injuries.

Paramedics rushed the two to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center.

The 44-year-old Nissan driver from Moreno Valley also also suffered from major injuries and was hospitalized.
