Man Arrested after Fatal DUI Collision near South Lindell Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 29, 2022) – Saturday morning, a fiery collision on Flamingo Road left Andrea Robles dead and Yonas Nerea injured.

The incident happened near the intersection of Flamingo Road and South Lindell Road around 3:46 a.m., on November 26th.

According to reports, Nerea was driving a 2022 Hyundai Sonata at a high rate of speed westbound on Flamingo Road. There, he struck the passenger side of a Dodge Dart making a left turn.

The impact of the collision pushed the Dart off the road before it struck a utility pole and erupted into flames. The driver of the Dart, Robles, then became trapped inside the vehicle.

Additionally, the Sonata also caught fire, but Nerea was able to extricate himself from the wreck.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced 43-year-old Robles dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported Nerea to a local hospital for further treatment.

Police later arrested Nerea on reckless driving and DUI charges.
