Andrea Bocelli Brings Angelic Voice to Hollywood: Opera purists might point to Bocelli as a bit of a populist, a “greatest hits” performer, but what isn’t in doubt is his vocal chops. The man can sing like a damn angel! And anyway, what the hell is wrong with introducing opera to new audiences anyway? Bocelli does that — he’s certainly the most famous tenor alive and, following the death of the great Luciano Pavarotti in 2007, he offers the best rendition of “Nessun Dorma.”

Bocelli released his 17th studio album, Believe, last year and it includes versions of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” plus an amazing take on “Amazing Grace” alongside bluegrass icon Alison Krauss. He’s never been afraid to try new things. It’ll be interesting to see what he pulls out at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday.

Andrea Bocelli Brings Angelic Voice to Hollywood: The event takes place at 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 24 at the Hollywood Bowl.

In a recent press release, Michele Anthony, EVP, Universal Music Group said: “Andrea Bocelli is that rare artist who has the unique ability to transcend the barrier“Andrea Bocelli is that rare artist who has the unique ability to transcend the barriers of language, geography and musical genre, to touch millions around the world with his inimitable voice and spirit. It has been an honor for us to work with Andrea and his team to continue to reach and inspire new audiences globally and constantly redefine the boundaries of classical music, even most recently with his historic performance from Milan’s Duomo cathedral during lockdown.”
