The L.A. Historic Theatre Foundation is throwing a party – and you're invited. Although they can't say the name of the famous awards show the party is centered around, what do you think they're telecasting at Hollywood's Biggest Night – the Super Bowl? Come celebrate the Academy Awards in style at the first ever Oscar-viewing party at Grauman's Million Dollar Theatre. Begin the evening by grabbing dinner across the street at the newly awesome Grand Central Market, then glide across Broadway's red carpet and escape the flash of paparazzi cameras by making your grand entrance. And don't forget to dress to impress – whether you decide to dapper up in formalwear, vintage attire or costumes themed to your favorite Oscar contender, you'll be competing with other attendees in the audience for prizes. Both the official red-carpet coverage and the Academy Awards ceremony will be projected on the theater's huge screen, so you can watch the show in all its glory. Best of all? All proceeds go to bolster the foundation's goals of protecting, preserving, restoring and sustaining L.A.'s grand old theaters. Now that's a cause even an anti-Oscar grouch can get behind. Grauman's Million Dollar Theatre, 307 S. Broadway, dwntwn.; Sun., March 2, doors 4 p.m., red-carpet coverage 5 p.m., awards telecast 6 p.m.; $20. (213) 999-5067, lahtf.org.
