No one ever confused the 23-minute Genesis epic “Supper's Ready” with anything funny. So why did Jeff Singer and Amber Tozer (pictured) name their new night of stand-up Supper's Ready ? Is the show divided into seven sections, with myriad time changes and heavy biblical imagery? Singer, who ran the popular “Eating It” comedy show at NYC's Luna Lounge, says, “The song is unique, clever, cathartic and experimental. Those are the traits we strive for in producing our comedy show. We present well-known names already at the top of their game — Greg Proops, Marc Maron, Jim Jefferies, Laura Kightlinger, Bill Burr, Nick Swardson to name a handful — along with some promising up-and-comers who try out new material. There's nothing more intriguing than watching that bead of sweat trickle down the face of a successful comic who currently plays 2,000-seat theaters, as he attempts to work out new material. This month's lineup includes Sarah Silverman, Andy Kindler, Rick Overton, Neil Hamburger, Tozer, Brendon Walsh and Erin Foley.
