Woman Killed in Fatal Big-Rig Accident near Grand Avenue

DIAMOND BAR, CA (May 3, 2022) – Sunday morning, Ana Cruz-Sanchez was fatally struck in a semi-truck collision on 60 Freeway.

The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the Grand Avenue off-ramp. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a sedan and big-rig collided in the area.

The impact caused severe damage to the sedan. One occupant, later identified as 29-year-old Cruz-Sanchez, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Moreover, multiple lanes on the freeway were blocked during cleanup and preliminary duties before they were later reopened.
