Long before he was behind The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Freaks and Geeks, Girls and other comedic super hits, Judd Apatow was a struggling stand-up comic. Apatow returns to his stage roots and continues this series of intimate benefit shows with fellow comics and other celeb friends. Past guests have included Louis C.K., Adam Sandler, Zach Galifianakis, David Spade, Garry Shandling and Jackson Browne, and past charities have included St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 826LA and Alzheimer’s Association. While tonight’s lineup of comedians and the like has yet to be revealed, proceeds will benefit Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services.
