Male Bicyclist Killed in DUI Accident near West Macdevitt Street

BALDWIN PARK, CA (November 16, 2021) – Saturday morning, Amelia Salazar was arrested after fatally striking a bicyclist on Puente Avenue.

Police responded to the scene around 5:02 a.m., near Macdevitt Street. According to reports, Salazar struck and killed a male bicycle rider in the 3400 block of Puente Avenue.

Due to the impact of the collision, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, 25-year-old Amelia Salazar was arrested for vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing injury.

Authorities only described the deceased victim as a 53-year-old man from La Puente.
