25-Year-Old Rider Killed in Traffic Accident on Maple and Harvey Avenue

FRESNO, CA (April 8, 2021) – Friday night, 25-year-old Amee Van died after a fatal motorcycle accident on Maple Avenue.

The tragic accident happened just before 11:00 p.m., of March 26 at the intersection of Maple and Harvey Avenue. According to police, Van was riding her motorcycle at a high speed east of Harvey Ave when she failed to stop at the intersection and fell off the bike.

At the same time, a Chevy Tahoe traveling down Maple Avenue did not notice Van in the roadway, and struck her. Paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts, she later died at the hospital on Friday morning.

As for the driver of the Tahoe, they remained on scene and cooperated with authorities. Police ruled out alcohol or drugs as factors in the fatal accident.

Furthermore, Van’s family and friends created a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for funeral expenses.
