52-Year-Old Amadeo Tapia Dies in Deadly Crash on East Palm Canyon Drive

RIVERSIDE, CA (September 28, 2021) – 52-year-old Amadeo Tapia lost his life Saturday after a fatal pedestrian accident on East Palm Canyon Drive.

The collision occurred near East Palm Canyon Drive and South Farrell Drive around 10:15 p.m. on September 25.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the 52-year-old man was strolling in the neighborhood when he was hit by a vehicle.

Authorities identified the victim as Amadeo Tapia, 52, of Cathedral City.

Paramedics took him to Desert Regional Medical Center, where unfortunately he died at 10:51 p.m.

Meanwhile, the vehicle’s driver remained at the site to cooperate with police.

At this point, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the disaster. However, an active investigation is underway.
