66-Year-Old Victim Dies in Traffic Accident near Cedar Avenue

FRESNO, CA (April 28, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99 claimed the life of 66-year-old Aloma Waith.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 3:00 a.m., near Cedar Avenue.

For reasons unknown, authorities claimed that a vehicle crashed into a wall and went across the lanes of the highway.

In addition, officers also said the female driver of the vehicle veered into a wall on the right shoulder of the highway before coming to rest in the center median.

Afterward, a gray SUV pulled over to render aid to the woman but was rear-ended. The impact caused the SUV to roll over.

Ultimately, the crash resulted in a chain reaction and left multiple people injured. Medics pronounced 66-year-old Waith dead at the scene.

In total, six vehicles were involved in the incident. One victim was pronounced dead, while the other drivers and passengers sustained minor injuries.
