Last year the French invaded the West Coast for the inaugural OohLaLA Festival, leaving a wake of broken baguettes, overturned Peugeots, and Daft Punk helmets filled with brie. Not really.

But the festival did leave some booties shaken with the fierce power of OohLaLA's cavalcade of French musicians and DJ's. On September 30, the French return to LA to serve up a healthy helping of OohLaLA, this time for a three-day festival that will pop off like a fancy bottle of Andre at Club Nokia, the El Rey, and Spaceland. Sébastien Tellier will return to slather his sensual sounds at the festival kick off at the El Rey, accompanied by fellow electro-discoists Acid Washed, and a DJ set by 80's-infused dynamo, Kavinsky. Then Gotan Project unleashes their future sound of tango at Club Nokia on October 2nd, and the quirky, indie (circa 2003) sounds of The Bewitched Hands On The Top Of Our Heads will fill the sort of stinky halls of Spaceland on October 1st.

Vive OohLaLA! It's like Bastille Day for your ears.
