Allglass Bath, Inc., a California-based shower door and bath enclosure company, is celebrating over three decades of craftsmanship and customer commitment. This November marks 34 years since Allglass Bath took its first order in 1991. What began as a one-woman business has grown into a trusted Southern California brand and a team of people, shaped by resilience, reinvention, and determination.

“Our mission is to bring lasting function and flawless beauty to each home, with craftsmanship and care. We aim not only to improve each home through what we do, but also through who we are,” says Martha Womack, founder and CEO of Allglass Bath.

Before establishing Allglass Bath, founder Womack had imagined a very different career path. She once dreamed of serving in the Navy. But when health challenges forced her to leave training, she began working for a company that specialized in building shower doors, an unexpected shift that would later shape her career. A few years later, drawn by new opportunities, she moved to Los Angeles, continuing her work in the glass industry.

In the early 1990s, the company she worked for closed during a financial downturn. Seeing an opportunity, Womack launched her own business, Allglass Bath. “Within a month, our old customers started returning, and I knew this was where I was meant to be,” she says.

But the early days were far from easy. When one of the key installers left the company, Womack found herself managing every part of the operation. “There were times when I did all the work myself,” she says. “But that’s how I learned what it takes to build something lasting.” Her dedication paid off, as the business gradually found its footing and developed a reputation for precision, service, and integrity.

At present, Allglass Bath offers a diverse range of shower enclosures, including framed, frameless, swinging doors, barn doors, and steam showers with working transom panels. In enclosure designs, the company also offers a wide variety of glass thicknesses, types, and colors, adding style and personality to every bathroom. Clients can choose from a comprehensive gallery of styles or request fully customized designs tailored to their space. “My strong suit,” Womack notes, “is truly listening to what the client wants, and transforming my expert knowledge into the perfect realization of their dreams.”

“The shower door business has evolved rapidly, and we always try to stay ahead of the curve,” Womack notes. “From frameless designs to advanced finishes, we make sure our clients have access to the latest trends and technologies.” The business also offers glass railings, mirrors, and tabletops.

At Allglass Bath, the design process begins with understanding the customer’s expectations. The team then conducts a site visit to take measurements and present tailored design options. Using established connections with manufacturers, Allglass Bath can typically source and install glass and hardware in a short time.

Every installation is performed by trained professionals who, according to Womack, treat each client’s home as their own. “That respect and care are non-negotiable,” she says. “It’s part of who we are.” The company also provides warranties on select products, ensuring that customers receive support and service even after their purchase.

Allglass Bath collaborates closely with designers and contractors, offering 3D design previews, simple billing, and reliable delivery options for job sites. This flexibility, combined with a focus on quality craftsmanship, has earned the company long-standing relationships with clients.

Over the decades, Allglass Bath has faced its share of challenges. The company weathered the turbulence of the 2008 financial crisis, which disrupted the housing and construction sectors. “The recession reduced our business by nearly two-thirds,” Womack says. “But I built it back. I have that strength and resilience, and I never tire of bouncing back.”

Currently, Allglass Bath is entering a new phase of growth. Earlier this year, the company brought in a consulting firm to help refine its operations and strengthen its business model. “We’re shifting toward a more structured approach,” Womack explains. “It’s about preparing for the next decade, increasing revenue, improving systems, and positioning the company for sustainable growth.”

For Womack, the 34-year milestone is not only a marker of time but also of endurance. From doing every installation by hand to leading a professional, full-service operation, she has shaped Allglass Bath into a highly effective and committed team, defined by resilience and craft.

“We have an amazing team that’s fully bought in and well organized,” Womack says. “Now they can run things without me. My name helped us grow, but it’s limiting. The goal is to put us in a position where Allglass is the name, not Martha.”
