Sacramento Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle near Richards Boulevard

SACRAMENTO, CA (July 11, 2023) – Monday morning, 55-year-old Allen Walter Walley lost his life after an auto-pedestrian crash on Interstate 5. The incident happened on July 3rd, at around 6:00 a.m., on Interstate 5 near Richards Boulevard. According to reports, the man was reportedly crossing on southbound Interstate 5 when a pickup truck struck him. The impact of the collision caused Walley to sustain serious injuries. First responders arrived to the site of the collision shortly after. Despite life-saving attempts, the paramedics pronounced the man dead. Officials later identified him as Allen Walter Walley, 55, of Sacramento. Meanwhile, the driver involved stayed at the scene to cooperate with the authorities. At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
