Man Fatally Struck in Pickup-Truck vs Semi-Truck Collision near Driver Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 21, 2022) – Thursday morning, Allen Jesus Valdez Avalos was killed in a semi-truck collision on 9th Avenue.
Around 5:00 a.m., police responded to the scene near the intersection of Driver Road and 9th Avenue.
According to reports, the driver of a Honda pickup-truck failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As a result, the pickup-truck collided with the right side of the semi-truck, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
Responding units arrived and declared the Honda driver dead at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 20-year-old Avalos, of Delano.
