This must have been quite a scene downtown: An alleged car thief messed with the wrong guy and got busted by the car's owner, who is apparently not someone to be messed with.

So a 40-something guy allegedly stole a car, but the owner saw him doing it and proceeded to chase him through downtown.

This combines every American's love of a good vigilante story with the maxim laid down by Vincent Vega: Don't mess with a man's automobile.

When the alleged thief hit a parked car, the victim pulled a gun and called 911.

We're imagining a younger Clint Eastwood with narrowed eyes and an older but impressive revolver.
