If all that fun reality food television (food fights, kitchen stadiums) is starting to seem, well, a bit two-dimensional, maybe it's time to go see some action in real life. The All-Star Chef Classic, which will be taking place at L.A. Live from March 21 to 23, is bringing some seriously high-power chefs to an actual “restaurant stadium” in downtown Los Angeles. 

The three-day event will feature over 25 chefs from L.A. and beyond, including Iñaki Aizpitarte, Roy Choi, Michael Cimarusti, Josiah Citrin, Dominique Crenn, Vinny Dotolo, Wylie Dufresne, Graham Elliot, Gabrielle Hamilton, Jennifer Jasinski, Gavin Kaysen, Ludo Lefebvre, David LeFevre, Donald Link, Waylynn Lucas, Marc Meneau, David Myers, Nancy Oakes, Alain Passard, Naomi Pomeroy, Paul Qui, Alex Seidel, Jon Shook, Nancy Silverton, and Ricardo Zarate. Maybe go read that list again and consider when you'll again have the chance to see Alain Passard and Marc Meneau in a “restaurant stadium” spitting distance from where Chris Paul plays ball.

Among the events: a French Masters Dinner hosted by Lefebvre and featuring Passard, Aizpitarte and Meneau, with whom Ludo apprenticed as a teenager in France.  

And maybe even more noteworthy, at least for the women in the crowd, is the all-women All-Star Lunch event. (If you kept copies of Time's recent absurdly male-centric food issue, maybe consider cutting it up for confetti. You're in a stadium, after all.) Among the chefs at the event: Dominique Crenn, the first woman chef to receive two Michelin Stars; Nancy Oakes, James Beard Winner for Best Restaurant; Nancy Silverton, James Beard Winner and local hero of food; Naomi Pomeroy, three time James Beard finalist; and Waylynn Lucas, L.A.'s much celebrated and televised pastry chef. 

The restaurant stadium in question is a venue that seats 250 “kitchen-side,” so that the audience can watch and interact with the chefs. There will also be other events, as well as presentations, demos, cookbook signings and lots of food and booze over the two days of food-oriented fun.

The All-Star Chef Classic is organized by Krissy Lefebvre and Lucy Lean, founders of Alice in Events, LLC., in partnership with AEG, owners and operators of the downtown Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment District. 

Tickets for the event start at $65. Tickets for the French Masters dinner are $250 and $300 (VIP); All-Star Lunch, $100 and $125 (VIP); Grill and Chill, $100 and $150 (VIP); and Savor the Season, $65 and $85 (VIP), with tickets for children at $25 and $35.
