38-Year-Old Woman Injured in Oil Tanker Collision

TULARE COUNTY, CA (April 13, 2021) – Early Wednesday morning on March 24, Alina Ramirez, 38, was injured after a crash on Avenue 232.

At around 4:55 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received a call of the crash just west of Road 68.

Armando Gonzalez, the driver of a 2015 International Tanker, was heading eastbound on Avenue 232 with a speed rate of 45mph.

Meanwhile, Alina Ramirez was driving a 2018 Hyundai Sonata also heading eastbound behind the big-rig. She was unable to stop in time, causing the front of the Hyundai to crash with the rear of the tanker.

Alcohol is suspected to have played a role in this collision based on evidence.

At this time, the crash is still under investigation. Once available, more information will be given.
