Changing lanes in an unsafe manner is one of the top causes of motor vehicle accidents. When driving, never cross lanes in an intersection, close to an intersection, or on roads that are separated by solid lines. Always use your turn signals before switching lanes. Only change one lane at a time as other drivers on the road are unaware of your intentions. Furthermore, follow the speed limit and maintain your speed while changing lanes.
