38-Year-Old Man Killed in 2-Car Collision near Lakeview Avenue

NUEVO, CA (November 28, 2022) – Friday evening, a two-vehicle crash on Ramona Expressway left Alfonso Aparicio with fatal injuries. 

The deadly collision happened around 5:20 p.m., just west of Lakeview Avenue in the city of Nuevo. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Nissan sedan struck a Ford SUV on the eastbound side of the two-lane corridor for unknown reasons. 

Responding units from the Riverside County Fire arrived and declared the Nissan driver dead at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the deceased driver as 38-year-old Aparicio, of Garden Grove. 

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the unidentified SUV driver to Riverside University Medical Center for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. 

Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Officers continue to investigate further circumstances surrounding the collision.
