Man Killed after Collision near Central Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 18, 2022) – Thursday,  37-year-old Alexis Covarrubias lost his life after a multi-car accident on 105 Freeway.

The incident happened Thursday, July 14th on the 105 Freeway exit at Central Avenue, per LA Officials.

Furthermore, according to reports, authorities were chasing a copper Kia SUV sedan after units reported the vehicle driving recklessly.

However, the Kia collided with a red vehicle on the westbound 105 that caused a collision with multiple vehicles in the area.

Eventually, officials pronounced the driver of the red vehicle dead at the scene. Police later identified him as Alexis Covarrubias.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the 14-year-old driver and 15-year-old passenger of the Kia to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police stated that the collision involved other vehicles but no additional information about their make or model is available at this time.
