32-Year-Old Driver Arrested after Deadly DUI Crash at Agave Sports Bar

SAN JOSE, CA (June 15, 2021) Alex Moreno, 32, was arrested after killing one person Friday night in a suspected DUI crash at Agave Sports Bar.

The crash happened around 9:00 p.m. on June 11, in the outdoor dining area of Agave Sports Bar.

Prior to the crash, Moreno came to the bar and had dinner before leaving around 8:30 p.m., according to the bar’s owner. Later that evening, Moreno’s white truck slammed into the bar’s outdoor dining area for reasons unknown.

Paramedics eventually located three people with injuries. A woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. In addition, two men were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Moreno was suspected to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. Officials later booked him into the Santa Clara County Jail on felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter charges.
