2 Dead, 7 Hospitalized after Head-On Accident near Old Chittenden Road

WATSONVILLE, CA (June 27, 2022) – Wednesday, Alex Mascarenoluque and Nestor Emmanuel Quiroa were killed in a head-on crash.

Police responded to the scene around 1:47 p.m., near Old Chittenden Road. However, the events leading up to the accident remain unclear.

Reports indicate that an eastbound 2008 Honda Ridgeline struck a westbound Chevy Silverado head-on. In addition, the Honda was driven by Mascarenoluque, while Quiroa was a passenger.

Due to the impact, medics pronounced 20-year-old Nestor Emmanuel Beltran Quiroa of Los Banos, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, crews transported 32-year-old Mascarenoluque of Los Banos, to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

In addition, medics took seven other victims to Santa Clara Valley Medical Heart for treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
