19-Year-Old Pronounced Dead after Car Accident near Magnolia Boulevard

BURBANK, CA (May 5, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, 19-year-old Alex Ghazarian died in a two-vehicle crash on Front Street.

According to Burbank Police, the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m., near Golden State 5 Freeway.

Per witnesses, a blue sedan driven by 19-year-old Ghazarian was traveling at a high rate of speed. He then struck a white SUV and fence, just north of the Metrolink Station.

Upon arrival, police found Ghazarian in the driver’s seat unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

At this time, it is still unknown whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash. However, preliminary investigation has already flagged unsafe speed as a likely contributing factor.

In addition, a woman in the SUV also sustained injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
