Alex Espinosa Arrested after DUI Crash in Downtown Visalia

VISALIA, CA (March 16, 2021) – Saturday night, 32-year-old Alex Espinosa was accused of DUI after injuring three children in a crash on Bridge Street.

The two-vehicle crash took place around 7:00 p.m., near Acequia Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Police say Espinosa was driving north in a Chevrolet Cruze approaching when he blew through the intersection and struck a Chevrolet Sonic. He also collided with the corner of a nearby movie theater.

Investigators later revealed that a woman was driving the Sonic, which had three children inside. Medics transported three children to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, Espinosa was also taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Upon his release from the hospital, police booked Espinosa into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility on suspicion of DUI causing injury and driving with a suspended license.
