DUI Crash on Lasselle Street Resulted in One Man Arrested

MORENO VALLEY, CA (December 27, 2021) – Officials arrested 28-year-old Alex Castaneda after a DUI crash on Lasselle Street Sunday evening.

The incident happened around 11:00 p.m., at the intersection of Lasselle Street and Camino Quintana.

As per reports, Castaneda did not stop at a law enforcement barricade and collided with two patrol cars at the scene of an earlier accident.

Responding officers found a deputy officer with injuries from the collision. Medics then rushed the officer to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, officials assessed Castaneda who showed signs of intoxication, and later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of DUI causing injury.

CHP continues to ask any witnesses to call the California Highway Patrol’s Accident Investigation Unit at (951) 637-8000.

However, an active investigation is underway.
