Alesso to Take Over Downtown: Swedish progressive house DJ and producer Alesso has been interested in music from a very young age.

“As a teenager, I became interested in producing and DJing electronic music and I’ve been so lucky to be able to continue to do so even today,” he says.

Speaking via email, he told us that his music blends many styles, and it’s always changing.

“I try to push myself to continually reinvent my music,” he says.

Unfortunately, he says that the pandemic has hit club life hard in his native Sweden.

“No clubs have been open over a year,” he says. “A lot of people lost their jobs and lots of money.”

On July 23 and 24, Alesso will be taking over the Skylight Row in Downtown L.A. for two massive gigs.

“I can’t say too much but it’s definitely going to be an exciting show that people wont want to miss,” he says.

Looking ahead, Alesso has plenty more planned for this year.

“More shows all over the world when safe!,” he says. “Definitely more music. A few other exciting partnerships and collaborations too!”

Alesso to Take Over Downtown: The events take place at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24 at Skylight Row.
