Drunk Driver Kills Santa Maria Man after a Fatal Crash

SANTA MARIA, CA (August 5, 2021) Authorities arrested a drunk driver after a deadly crash that claimed the life of Alejandro Angeles Pacheco last Saturday on Highway 46.

The incident happened just after 11:50 P.M. near the Cholame “Y” northeast of Shandon, CHP said.

Investigators determined that a 2014 Dodge Ram, driven by Adan Reyes, 34 of Paso Robles, drifted into the westbound lane while traveling eastbound.

Afterwards, the Dodge careened into a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado going westbound on the highway.

Subsequently, the two vehicles collided head-on and sent the Dodge rolling over to its passenger side.

Meanwhile, the Chevrolet veered off the road and left the driver dead on the scene.

Later on, the authorities identified the deceased victim as 41-year-old Alejandro Angeles Pacheco of Santa Maria.

Eventually, Santa Maria Officials arrested Reyes for driving under the influence of alcohol.
