On his great So I've Heard blog, Alan Rich remembers longtime LA patron of the arts Betty Freeman, who died in her home on Sunday. Freeman supported some of the 20th Century's most progressive composers, from John Cage to Lou Harrison to Phillip Glass and John Adams.
