Road Closed after Multi-Vehicle Crash on near Upper Twain Harte Drive
TWAIN HARTE, CA (December 10, 2021) – A crash on Highway 108 left Alan Leeman with minor injuries Saturday afternoon.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on the highway near Upper Twain Harte Drive. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
Reports indicate that 65-year-old Gary Mcintosh, of Sonoma was stopped at the stop sign on North Tuolumne Road in his Chevrolet Silverado.
He then drove into the path of an oncoming eastbound Dodge Charger driven by 25-year-old Tristian Hastings at the Highway 108 intersection.
Eventually, the two vehicles collided, and the Chevy truck began to spin out of control. As a result, pool chemicals that were loaded on the truck spilled onto the highway.
Amidst the chaos, the Chevy also struck a third vehicle driven by 62-year-old Alan Leeman, of Mi Wuk Village.
The crash injured Leeman while the other two drivers remained unharmed. Due to the crash and chemical spills, authorities closed all lanes between Lower Wayne Hart and Confidence South Fork for clearing operations.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further circumstances leading up to the collision is underway.
