16-Year-Old Aiden Gossage Dies after DUI Crash on Los Coyotes Diagonal

LONG BEACH, CA (September 8, 2021) – Aiden Gossage, 16, of Long Beach lost his life in a suspected DUI accident in an intersection in Long Beach last Saturday.

The tragic crash happened around 9:07 p.m. September 4, at the intersection of Los Coyotes Diagonal and Deborah Street.

According to authorities, Gossage was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker SUV traveling southbound on Los Coyotes Diagonal for unknown reasons.

Despite emergency personnel performing life-saving measures, Gossage was declared dead at the scene.

CHP later arrested the driver, Kevin Chris Dahl, 33, of Lakewood, and charged with one count of gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI. The bail amount was set at $100,000.
