Sideshow Accident near Olin Avenue Left Spectator and Officer Injured

SAN JOSE, CA (June 24, 2024)Aidan Rehault was arrested Saturday night, after a sideshow crash on Winchester Boulevard and Olin Avenue.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after receiving calls about sideshow activity.

Investigators say one of the vehicles involved struck a spectator. A reserve San Jose officer responded to the incident, but a deliberate assault on the officer’s vehicle prevented him from assisting the injured spectator. The officer sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Eventually, additional officers arrived, leading to the crowd dispersing. On Monday, authorities announced the arrest of 24-year-old Aidan Rehault in connection with the sideshow incident.

Officers are currently working to identify and arrest others who participated in or watched the sideshow. Further details will be provided once available.
