High-Speed Collision near San Jose Avenue Left 18-Year-Old Dead

FRESNO, CA (February 16, 2023) – Monday afternoon, a high-speed car crash in Central Fresno claimed the life of Aeneas McClain. The collision happened at around 1:30 p.m., near the intersection of Blackstone Avenue and San Jose Avenue. According to reports, McClain, in a Dodge Charger, racing a pickup northbound on Blackstone Avenue, when he lost control. The Charger struck a red GMC pickup and then spun out into the opposing lanes of traffic. There, it collided with a black pickup truck. Emergency crews arrived shortly after and transported 18-year-old Aeneas McClain, of Fresno, to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. At the hospital, McClain succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the driver of the red GMC pickup and the black pickup suffered minor injuries. At this time, authorities are working to identify the pickup driver racing against McClain, who sped off after the collision.
