There've been questionable leaks and legitimate teasers, but fans drooling for a new Madvillain LP have had precious little to cling to.

Beside faith, of course, that in L.A. producer Madlib's apparent quest to set the record for album releases in a year (he's on target for at least 20), he'd find a little time to deliver a proper sequel his classic 2004 collaboration with New York rapper MF DOOM, Madvillainy.

Listeners may now rejoice. As part of an eight-tracks-in-eight-weeks original MP3 series promiting the new Kia Soul, Adult Swim has shared a song-length glimpse into the forthcoming Madvillain record, and the view is sweet indeed.

From Stones Throw:

“Papermill” is the first release from the new Madvillain album which DOOM and Madlib began recording in 2009. The album is currently a work-in-progress and will be released on Stones Throw Records.

Stream the super-badass soul-steeped track below, and download it through the Adult Swim site.

As part of the promotion, Stones Throw shared a couple of original Madlib video clips as well. The first shows him doing a proper coffee-tasting with the the folks of Intelligentsia, and the second is an interview.

Guess what — Malib actually leaves the house!
