Yolanda Ruiz Pronounced Dead after Fatal Hit-and-Run near Tulare Avenue
VISALIA, CA (October 24, 2022) – Wednesday night, Adrianna Watters was arrested after fatally striking Yolanda Ruiz on Mooney Boulevard.
The deadly collision happened around 9:00 p.m., near Tulare Avenue in Visalia. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple calls in the area.
Per reports, Watters was driving a vehicle when she struck Ruiz at the intersection. Following the impact, Watters left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Medics arrived and transported the severely injured pedestrian to a local hospital where she later died.
The driver of the involved vehicle, 22-year-old Adrianna Watters, turned herself into the police shortly after. Police officers later booked Adrianna Watters for felony hit-and-run.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
