Three Pronounced Dead after Stolen Car Collision near Winning Way
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 26, 2023) – Saturday, Adrian Hyder, Darian Torrence and one other were killed in a fiery car accident on Carey Avenue.
Police responded to the scene around 10:27 p.m., near Winning Way on June 10th.
Per reports, the driver of a 2021 Kia Forte was traveling east at a high rate of speed on Carey Avenue. There, the Kia struck a mid 2000s Nissan Titan pickup-truck that was turning onto Carey Avenue.
Upon impact, the Nissan caught fire, causing fatal injuries to its driver. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced three victims, the Nissan driver, 15-year-old Hyder and 15-year-old Torrence dead at the scene.
The Kia Forte also sustained significant front-end damage. Additionally, another male teenager sustained significant but non life-threatening injuries.
Following preliminary duties, officers say the Kia was reported to be stolen earlier that day. At this time, an active investigation to determine more information is still currently underway.
