Drunk Driver Kills Woman on 101 Freeway near Pilgrimage Bridge

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 9, 2021) – Early Monday morning, authorities arrested Adrian Castroramos after a DUI crash on 101 Freeway.

The collision occurred on the southbound 101, just north of the Pilgrimage Bridge around 4:40 A.M. Officers say three vehicles were involved.

After the crash, a 45-year-old female driver exited her vehicle that was stopped in the No. 3 lane. Then, a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe struck and killed her a couple of minutes later.

Eventually, CHP officers located the woman down on the roadway. There, emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested 22-year-old Adrian Castroramos of Los Angeles, for suspected DUI and vehicular manslaughter.

At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains unavailable, pending notification from their next of kin.
