If you haven’t already tried CBD, you probably know someone who has. One of the easiest ways to incorporate CBD into your daily routine is by cooking with it. Not only can you get creative, but there are also some simple ways to start. Adding CBD oil to your favorite sauce recipes is a great way to start cooking with CBD.

What Is CBD?

CBD is also known as cannabidiol, and it can be found in both hemp and cannabis plants. There are over 120 naturally occurring compounds in hemp and cannabis plants. CBD is thought to have a variety of potentially therapeutic benefits like aiding sleep, reducing stress or relieving pain. By interacting with the human body’s endocannabinoid system CBD could have positive results for your wellness routine.

Some Rules For Cooking With CBD Oil

When cooking with CBD there are a few simple guidelines to keep in mind. First, always be aware of your temperature. CBD can begin to break down when heated too much. Try to keep your temperature below 350 degrees Fahrenheit. If cooking on the stovetop its best to remove your pan from the heat before adding CBD oil.

Another important thing to factor in is the quality of your CBD oil. It is always best to choose a high-quality CBD oil that is backed by third-party lab testing. This way you can ensure you are getting the correct dose of CBD, and that your product is safe and reliable.

Finally, it is always best to start slow when adding CBD oil to any recipe. You don’t want to change the consistency or flavor of your dish. Starting with one dropperful or less and adding from there is a safe way to start cooking with CBD oil.

Why Sauce Plus CBD?

Cooking any type of sauce typically allows for a range of ingredients to be mixed together. This always for easy adding of CBD. Another perk of adding CBD oil to sauces is there is usually an oil in the recipes which allows CBD to combine easier. When CBD oil is added to a carrier oil like olive, coconut or avocado oil it can more easily incorporate into the recipe. Using a “healthy-fat” oil like these can also allow for better absorption of CBD into the bloodstream. Your CBD-infused sauce can be tasty and effective!

When it comes to just about any homemade sauce, CBD oil can be added. If you are using a blender or food processor the oil will incorporate best. If you are making a warm sauce like a pasta sauce, adding your CBD after the heating process will ensure its potency. For sauces like salad dressings or even hummus dips, a CBD oil can be added in with all the ingredients and voila!

Here are a few ideas to get you started on your CBD-infused sauce journey!
