32-Year-Old Skateboarder Fatally Struck by Truck near Mullen Avenue

CLEARLAKE, CA (August 1, 2022) – Monday, skateboarder Adam Huskey died in a crash on Emory Avenue, that left Dillon Alan Mahoney arrested.

The incident happened on July 25th, at 10:45 a.m.; police responded on Emory Avenue south of Mullen Avenue.

According to reports, Huskey was riding a motorized skateboard when he was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Mahoney. As a result of the collision, Huskey sustained serious injuries.

Clearlake officers arrived at the scene and pronounced 32-year-old Huskey dead at the scene.

Later, police identified the Chevrolet driver as 24-year-old Mahoney and arrested him for vehicular manslaughter. Mahoney was booked to Lake County Jail with a $150,000 bail and scheduled for arraignment.

Further circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. However, Clearlake Police are actively investigating the incident.
