Businesses are reliant on Information Technology that requires time and resources for implementing, maintaining, and updating on-premise software for their operations. What if we provided companies pay as you go options and leveraged readily built business applications that provide and perform all required business operations without having to write a single line of code? And what if you could do this without having to maintain infrastructure or spend on IT resources to monitor workloads?

Enterprise customers are currently digitizing and making their way to the cloud, reducing unwanted IT spending through digital transformation. With digital transformation in place, there is an opportunity for companies to be more strategic in their IT operations and focus on building innovative products while not having to worry about the underlying infrastructure.

Do We Need Coding Skills?

According to Gartner, The global market for low code no code tools have shot up to $13.8 Billion in 2021. An average of 41% of non-IT employees are building or customizing applications. Gartner also predicts that by 2024, three-quarters of large enterprises will be using at least four low-code tools and low-code technology is likely to be responsible for upwards of 65% of total application development. Gartner further forecasted that half of all new low-code clients will be business buyers that are outside the IT organization by end of 2025. What this addresses is the growing shortage of IT employees and the ability of business users to use the low-code/no-code platform to build intelligent applications responsible for the digital transformation of industries by addressing the growing needs of a digitized world with less skilled IT labor.

We recently spoke with Aiyappa Machanda, Global Enablement Lead at Amazon Web Services. “I’m working to enable our partners and customers to become an intelligent enterprise by leveraging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Machine Learning(ML) no-code solutions which help companies accelerate delivery of solutions down to hours or days and use them to make intelligent predictions on bulk datasets – all without writing a single line of code”.

Aiyappa says. “My goal is to work backwards and be customer obsessed and ensure I enable and digitize our enterprise customers to the cloud in order to drive cost reduction and improve profitability through innovation. I want businesses to focus on running their business and not worry about how much operational capacity they require to run their workloads online and also provide them with all the latest application features to run their end-to-end complex ERP businesses smoothly.”

Impact on Enterprise Customers

By using low-code/no-code tools, you can now generate predictions without needing to write any code. A business Analyst for example can autonomously start gaining insights from their data by using it with local datasets and with just a few clicks they can prepare and join their datasets, analyze estimated accuracy, verify impact and generate predictions all without the need for pulling an expert and with zero coding knowledge.
