Traffic Crash on Carpenter Road Left Two Fatalities

MODESTO, CA (March 9, 2022) – On Tuesday, a head-on crash on Main Street claimed the lives of Abraham Farias and Oscar Armando Garcia.

The crash happened at about 5:45 a.m. on West Main Street near Carpenter Road.

Furthermore, authorities said a Subaru SUV driven by Farias of Turlock struck a Honda sedan driven by Garcia of Patterson.

Moreover, as the Subaru entered the eastbound lane to overtake traffic, it collided with the Honda, causing it to overturn and burst into flames.

Consequently, paramedics pronounced the two drivers dead at the scene.

Both of them were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Meanwhile, no passengers were involved in the fatal collision.

Subsequently, it is not known if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the collision.

An active investigation into the crash remains underway.
