In “Vanity Fair Portraits: Photographs 1913-2008,” the magazine that made a nude and pregnant Demi Moore infamous traces its archive and the history of portrait photography. Legendary photographers from Edward Steichen and Man Ray to Annie Leibovitz, Helmut Newton and Herb Ritts are included, and classic images (1913-1936) of Picasso, Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn are paired with contemporary photos (1983-present) of Margaret Thatcher, Arthur Miller and Robert DeNiro.
