41-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Deadly Collision near North Pecos Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 20, 2022) – 41-year-old Abe Cruz Mendibles was killed Friday night, in a bicycle accident on Las Vegas Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 9:23 p.m., near North Pecos Road.

According to reports, Raymond Perez-Hernandez lost control of his northbound 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and veered off the road.

As a result, the Chevy struck a male bicyclist who was riding along the road. Officers and medical personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced Mendibles dead at the scene.

Paramedics also transported 26-year-old Perez-Hernandez to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Upon his release from the hospital, officers took him to Clark County Detention Center to face DUI charges.
