13-Year-Old Bicyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision on Faculty Avenue

LAKESIDE, CA (February 8, 2022) – Early Friday night, 13-year-old Aaron Robbins was injured in a hit-and-run bicycle crash on Conant Street.

According to police, the accident occurred around 6:05 p.m., at the intersection of Conant Street and Faculty Avenue.

Per reports, a black car was driving erratically and struck the teenager from behind, throwing him over the hood. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the bicyclist.

First responders took Robbins to the Long Beach Memorial Emergency Department for treatment of his injuries that included a second-degree burn on his right cheek, a dislocated rib, and bruises.

At this time, authorities are actively pursuing the hit-and-run driver. Once available, further details will be provided.
