Free mimosas at H&H Brazilian Steakhouse, free tacos at Acapulco and a Taste of Japan in Long Beach — here’s what’s popping up this week.

Saturday September 14

After recently rolling out their new lunch menu, H&H Brazilian Steakhouse is now launching weekend brunch on September 14, every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guests can enjoy bottomless mimosas and tableside service of meats and gourmet foods by Gaucho chefs, as well as small plates like the Brazilian omelet (Mozzarella, tomato and oregano omelet with a side spring mix salad), chard and Gruyere eggs in a hole (egg-in-the-hole with sautéed chard and melted​ Gruyere) and asparagus eggs Benedict.  For the first weekend guests receive one free mimosa each.

A Taste of Japan

The inaugural Taste of Japan heads to downtown Long Beach on Saturday at the iconic Pike Outlets. The family-friendly event serves as a look into Japanese culture, art and cuisine, with special live entertainment. Food experiences will include everything from sushi to fresh-baked goods,  BBQ, soups and noodles. Taste of Japan Sapporo will be on-hand  alongside Orion brews and others. Suntory whisky and Hiro sake will be pouring.

Together with by Ben Shenassafar and Bobby Kim of The Hundreds and Miles Canares, DoorDash is a presenting The Hundreds Family Style Food Fest at  the historic Television City Studios on Fairfax. Thursday, September 19

Old Town Pasadena introduces WinePas, Old Pasadena’s new Fall Food & Wine Crawl that  takes place on Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. WinePas brings together some of Old Town Pasadena’s best restaurants, wine bars and local businesses for one evening showcasing gourmet bites, wines,  while offering exclusive discounts at some of Pasadena’s top local retail shops to directly benefit the Pasadena Educational Foundation.

Guests will have a special WinePas host who will lead each group along the WinePas Fall Food & Wine Crawl to enjoy some retail therapy, Two Gourmet Bites from each restaurant and Two Wine Tastings provided by The Cellar at each stop along the way.

Restaurants and chefs participating in WinePas include chef Erwin Tjahyadi and Bone Kettle, Ervin Galvan and We Olive, chef Elena Vega and Maestro, chef Tim Shu and Fishwives, Leo Temoryand and The Cellar, and Mercedes Raffulls, Jasmine Lymon and The Pan.

Acapulco Restaurants will be celebrating their 59th anniversary on Thursday with parties at all Acapulco locations featuring free tacos (steak, chicken, al pastor and sautéed shrimp), freshly made tortillas and salsa bar along with a celebratory dessert bar from 3 p.m. to close. Happy Hour drink specials  include $4 Margaritas and $4 draft beers.  Entertainment will be mariachis from 5 to 7 p.m. and a DJ from 7 p.m. to close.
