As Angelenos tweet about the “freezing” cold 60-degree weather, some restaurants are keeping their seats warm for the holidays and others aren't keeping them at all. Jian BBQ in Mid-City was replaced by Bao Dim Sum this month, and designer bake shop Diana Sproveri replaced Diddy Riese-style Cookie Munch in Tarzana.

Ice cream shops are on the rise with Scoops arriving to the Westside and L.A. Creamery opening in Canoga Park. “Thank God it's been busy,” said the owner of Ice N Cream in the Westside Pavilion on Black Friday. Last year during this time it was a different story, she added.
