Throughout L.A. there are so many great places to go shopping and have a variety of stores to choose from. Shopping strips and malls make for a great day trip and always result in great purchases to go home with. The first place to shop is 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. This street has all the stores you could think of and is just steps away from the beach. It is outdoors, so you feel like you’re at the beach while shopping. There are multiple parking garages to choose from for parking and there are also coffee shops and restaurants throughout the street. Some of the stores to shop at here are Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Abercrombie and Fitch, Athleta, Lululemon, Madewell, Pacsun, Zara, Rip Curl, and so many more. 3rd Street is such a great place to go and enjoy a beautiful day outside with a ton of stores to choose from.

Another great shopping place is Melrose Avenue with so many unique as well as popular stores. Melrose Avenue is also an outdoor shopping strip and is a vibrant fun place to go. There are a lot of thrift stores, vintage stores, and a ton of food and coffee for in between. Some of these include Pop Up LA, American Rebel, Buffalo Exchange, Slow Clothing, Anonymous LA, Round Two, Chantell, and American Vintage. Along with the thrift and vintage stores there are also well-known clothing stores and brand name items.

The Grove is another great option and is such a cute place to walk around and shop. Something that is great for kids is the American Girl Doll store which is always such a great experience and something most little ones love. You can also book a lunch experience or send your doll to the hair salon. The American girl store is a must for your young ones. Along with that, there is Banana Republic, Coach, Brandy Melville, Gap, Janie and Jack, Lululemon, Michael Kors, Nike, Nordstrom, and Vince. The Grove has store options for all ages and a ton of restaurants to make for a great family-friendly experience. During the holidays the decorations are so fun and festive.  For Christmas there is a huge tree and snow and for Easter the Easter Bunny comes which is so fun for the kids. There is also a trolley that goes around the area that anyone can ride!

If you are feeling a little adventurous you can head down to the outlets in desert springs just outside of L.A. It’s a premium outlet shopping experience and while you are down there don’t forget to check out the Shops on El Paseo a luxury retail district. It’s a shopping and dining experience with the luxe desert lifestyle in mind that’s definitely a must-see.

These are three of the best places to shop in L.A. Whether it’s clothes for you, your kids, or others you will be able to find everything at one of these spots and of course while enjoying the beautiful California weather.
